ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A mother in Sodus was arrested after her three-year-old child was found alone inside a car during cold temperatures.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Rachel A. Tari, 32, allegedly left her child alone inside a car at the Tops Friendly Markets in Ontario for an extended period of time in 28° weather.
When they arrived on the scene, deputies said the child was in the backseat of the car, which was not running at the time. The child was checked over by EMS.
Tari was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She was taken to the Wayne County Jail for arraignment.
