Rochester police have identified the woman who died with “significant internal injuries” at Rochester General Hospital early Wednesday.
Candis Allison, 35, of Rochester was brought to the hospital, 1425 Portland Ave., by private vehicle around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, said Capt. Greg Bello of the Rochester Police Department. Allison was rushed into surgery and died from her injuries.
Allison’s death was described as a “suspicious death,” by Rochester police.
Bello said in addition to the internal injuries, Allison also suffered abrasions to her torso and upper body, which are all injuries “consistent with trauma connected to an incident involving a motor vehicle,” Bello said.
RPD’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating to determine the circumstances of Allison’s death.
