Suspect at large after armed carjacking on Ridgeway Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Rochester Police Officers responded to a report of gunpoint robbery on Ridgeway Avenue near Minder Street Sunday morning.

Officers say a 48-year-old Rochester man was pulled over on the side of the road to make a phone call, and that is when the suspect walked up to his driver-side window while pointing a handgun at him, demanding the man to leave his vehicle.

Officers say the suspect drove away with the man’s car along with two females who got into the car with the suspect. The victim walked to a nearby gas station where he was able to call 911.

The carjacking suspect is described as 5’6″ Black male, weighing 120 pounds, wearing a black jacket, black pants, and a dark facemask.

Officers do not have the suspects in custody at this time and are asking anyone with information on the incident to please call 911.
