ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The two suspects who were accused of a violent Christmas beating are facing new charges after the victim’s death.
Brucwayne Beaman, 22, and Guy Mustgray II, 33, have been indicted on murder charges after the victim Michael Dicesare died. Initially, the two were charged with second-degree attempted murder.
According to police, 60-year-old Dicesare was found on Christmas at midnight at the corner of Bay Street and Portland Avenue. He had significant head and upper body trauma. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in life-threatening condition but died in February.
It was alleged that Beaman and Mustgray hit Dicesare with a handgun and an edged weapon several times before stealing items from them. They were arrested at the end of January.
In addition to murder charges, they also faced charges of first-degree assault, first-degree robbery, and fourth-degree grand larceny.
