House fire on Ramsey Park in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A family in Rochester is out of a home home due to a fire Monday afternoon.

Crews received a call about a working structure fire on Ramsey Park. RFD tells News 8 it appears to have started in the garage and extended into the house.

It took firefighters about 35 minutes to put out the fire, which caused major damage on the first and second floors and destroyed the garage.

No injuries were reported.

The Red Cross is helping the two residents find alternate housing.
