ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Rochester Police are investigating a double shooting on Lyell Ave that happened just before midnight.
Police responded to the 400 block for reports of shots fired. They found a 39-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her upper body. She was brought to Strong Memorial with what was determined to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Around 12:30 a.m., a 53-year-old man arrived at Rochester General Hospital with a gunshot wound to his lower body. His injuries are also non-life-threatening.
RPD says he too was shot on Lyell Ave.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
