Over 100 companies made it onto Forbes Business’ Best Employers by state in 2024 list for New York , including several Rochester-based businesses and schools.
Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to put together the list of 1,294 organizations after surveying more than 160,000 employees working for U.S. companies with at least 500 people. Employees were asked how likely they were to recommend their current employer on a scale of zero-10 as well as employers they had worked for within the last two years and organizations they knew within the industry through friends or family who worked there.
The collected data and survey data from the past three years was then put into a scoring system. Greater weight was given to the more recent data and the responses from current employees in the state.
