Convicted felon facing 17-years in prison for possessing over 400 grams of fentanyl

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A Rochester man is facing over 17-years in prison after he was convicted of possession with intent to distribute over 400 grams of fentanyl.

After investigation is was determined that 59-year-old Arcides Castillo-Dieguez possessed a bulk supply of fentanyl for other Rochester drug dealers.

In May 2023, multiple search warrants were executed at three locations, one on Avenue A, one on East Main Street and one on Durnan Street. One of these locations was used as a day care facility.

Investigators seized over four kilograms of fentanyl, fentanyl analogue and heroin. Drug paraphernalia was also seized during the searches.

This is Castillo-Dieguez’s sixth felony conviction for an offense involving the illegal distribution of controlled substances.
