Man fighting for his life after Rochester shooting

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester police confirmed that a 53-year-old man had to be hospitalized after being shot in the city Friday night. Police had a portion of St. Paul Street near Seth Green Drive shut down for the investigation. The area has since been cleared.

Officers arrived at the scene just before 5 p.m. where they found the man shot multiple times. Friday evening around 9:30 p.m. police told News 8 the man was still in surgery at the hospital. His injuries are considered life-threatening at this time.

The investigation is ongoing. Police said no one has been arrested and urge anyone with information regarding the shooting to call 911.
