Man’s vehicle shot following hit and run on Conkey Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Rochester man’s vehicle was shot following a hit and run near Conkey Avenue, Rochester police confirm.

Rochester police say they responded to Conkey Avenue around 3:36 p.m. for the report of a vehicle struck by gunfire and found a 47-year-old man with a vehicle that had been shot.

According to RPD, the man was involved in a minor motor vehicle accident near Clifford Avenue and North Clinton Avenue. Police say the suspect vehicle then fled the scene of the accident and when the man attempted to follow it a suspect shot his vehicle multiple times.

No injuries have been reported as a result of this incident. Officers did locate evidence of shots fired but have not found a suspect.

This is still an active investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
