Suicide Prevention Walk held at Veterans Memorial Park

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Out of Darkness community walk was held Saturday at Veterans Memorial Park.

These walks help raise money for suicide prevention. In 2023, the walks raised over $22-million.

Proceeds go straight to the foundation’s lifesaving research education, advocacy and survivor support programming.

If you or someone you know is struggling, you can call or text the National Crisis Hotline at 988 as well as find local resources by visiting the American Foundation for suicide prevention website.
