ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A house in Rochester was hit by a stolen car Sunday evening, according to police. None of the four people inside were hurt.
RPD said they were called to the area of Olean Street and Frost Avenue just before 4 p.m. On scene, officers said they found a stolen Kia in the backyard of a home on Coretta Scott Crossing.
Through the investigation it was discovered that the driver of the Kia was traveling down Frost Avenue before trying to make a turn on Olean Street when the driver then lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the house, according to RPD. The Rochester Fire Department was also on scene to determine whether the structure was safe to live in or not. News 8 has reached out to RFD to learn more about their assessment. We have not heard back at this time.

Meanwhile, RPD said they’re still looking for the suspect in question. According to police, the driver of the stolen Kia ran away from the scene before hopping into a car that was waiting nearby. No other details were provided. As the investigation continues, police asked anyone with information to call 911.
