ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WR0C) — One Rochester man is seeking answers from the city, and calling for change, after discovering all of the sentimental items at his grandmother’s gravesite were cleaned up without notice.
Rashad Smith is most known the community as ‘Radical Rashad’, radio host of The Everyday People Show on The Beat 105.5. He describes recently feeling an urge to pay respects to his grandmother’s grave, located at Riverside Cemetery, which he passes every day to and from his way to work. When he arrived, however, he was met with disbelief.
“Initially, I didn’t know what to think,” he says, explaining the sheer shock upon the site, adding he figured a family member possibly came by to clear up the space for the month ahead. But then he noticed other plots in the neighboring area were also without any sort of decorations.
