Golisano Children’s Hospital hosts event to raise awareness for gun safety

Firearm-related injuries are the leading cause of death for children and adolescents in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

On Friday, Golisano Children’s Hospital teamed up with local violence-prevention groups 585-SNUG, Rise Up Rochester, Mom’s Demand Action and UR Medicine’s Firearm Injury Prevention Program to raise awareness for gun safety.
