Rochester nurse faces charges in ‘National Health Care Fraud Takedown’

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Justice Department announced Monday the results of what it calls a “National Health Care Fraud Takedown.”

This nationwide bust led to charges against 324 people in connection to over $14.6 billion in alleged fraud. At least one of the 324 charged is from Rochester.

Rachel Paillet is charged with grand larceny. Federal prosecutors say that while a nurse at the Pearl Nursing Center of Rochester, Paillet used the debit card of a patient with dementia to withdraw more than $50,000 from the patient’s account…
