Deputies arrested a Rochester man after discovering two active bench warrants during a custody exchange with another police agency.
Alphonso L. Mems, 63, was taken into custody on July 2 around 3:30 p.m., according to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were alerted by the Greece Police Department that they had Mems in custody for unrelated charges. A follow-up check revealed Mems had two outstanding warrants issued by the Town of Tyre Court for failure to appear.
