RPD, Bomb Squad investigate Boardman Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The area of Boardman Street was investigated by the Rochester Police Department and RPD’s Bomb Squad on Saturday afternoon.

According to RPD, officers first responded to the area around 1:30 p.m. for reports of a fight on Boardman Street. Police have said it appears the fight was related to a domestic incident. A 26-year-old man was taken into custody for the fight.

At the same time as the investigation into the incident, officers came across what they described as a “suspicious package.” Bomb Squad then responded to the scene to investigate the item.

Boardman Street was closed to traffic from Monroe Avenue to Pearl Street during the investigations. The area has since been reopened…
