IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — A candidate running for Irondequoit town supervisor was arraigned on Tuesday, accused of abusing his power in his former role as the town’s assessor.
Anthony Costanza appeared in Irondequoit Town Court. He’s charged with official misconduct, recusal and abstention, and prohibition on use of municipal position for personal or private gain, according to the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office. Court paperwork says that Costanza “committed an act relating to his office but constituting an unauthorized exercise of his official functions, knowing that such act was unauthorized.”…
