Rochester woman arrested for failure to appear in Tyre court

A Rochester woman is in custody after failing to appear in Tyre Town Court on robbery and larceny charges, according to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Tim Thompson reported that on July 7, 2025, at approximately 1:30 p.m., investigators arrested 32-year-old Teeyana D. Porter on a bench warrant for bail jumping in the second degree. The warrant stemmed from Porter’s repeated failure to appear in court after being released on her own recognizance.

Porter had been previously charged with robbery in the second degree and grand larceny in the third degree. Following her missed court appearances, Tyre Town Court issued a bench warrant. Porter was later located by the Colonie Police Department and transferred to the custody of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office…
