ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Nice weather Monday morning will give way to a period of clouds around midday with a passing shower possible into early afternoon. Cannot rule out a rumble of thunder but we are not anticipating anything like the heavy storms many of us saw on Sunday. Outside of the brief shower threat much of Monday is rain free, warm and muggy. Summer heat builds into midweek with more humid weather on the way once again. Temps will top 90 on Wednesday with the feel like heat index nearing 100 degrees.
With the building heat and humidity, the chances for thunderstorms will also rise mid to late week as a cold front crosses the region on Thursday. At this time severe storms are not expected but that could change so stay tuned for updates on that part of the forecast. Behind the front clearing skies, cooler and less humid weather arrive Friday into the start of the weekend. Stay tuned to News10NBC for the latest on the high heat midweek.
