Rochester man convicted of second-degree murder in 2024 stabbing death

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Monroe County jury on Monday convicted a Rochester man of second-degree murder for stabbing and killing 53-year-old Myron Fair outside a South Clinton Avenue apartment complex in April 2024.

56-year-old Mark Burdick, 56, was found guilty in connection to the April 21, 2024, incident outside Pinnacle Place Apartments. Rochester Police officers responded to the complex around 8 p.m. that night, and found Fair suffering from a stab wound to the chest. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

Investigators determined that Fair had been sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle in the entrance loop of the complex when he and Burdick, the driver, got into an argument. During the altercation, Burdick stabbed Fair before fleeing the scene. He was arrested the following evening…
