City leaders announced heightened law enforcement focus near N. Clinton Ave.

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — Neighbors on North Clinton Avenue shared their concerns about crime as city leaders announced heightened law enforcement activity Wednesday.

Over the past month, city leaders said five search warrants yielding guns and drugs have been executed in the area of North Clinton Avenue. Friday morning, Rochester police arrested two people at a drug house not far from a daycare.

“Detectives found fentanyl, crack cocaine, and powder cocaine, all packaged for sale,” said RPD in a statement. “As a result, Jamie Statt of Webster and Stormy Watts, who gave us an address in the city, outside of the area, have been charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd and 4th Degree; class B and C felonies.”…
