ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Nearly 100 employees will be out of a job as a manufacturing facility announces it’s closure in Rochester.
Upstate Niagara Cooperative (UNC Dairy), one of the largest dairy cooperatives in the U.S., announced it’s set to close it’s manufacturing facility in Rochester by the end of the year. The company says in part:
“The decision to close the Rochester plant was difficult but necessary for the long-term sustainability of the company, and driven by evolving market trends, including declining demand for fresh fluid milk.” …
