BRIGHTON, N.Y. – Neighbors at Briar Manor Apartments have been without hot water for a week due to broken gas pipes. The lack of hot water has left many residents frustrated as they try to manage their daily routines.
Jennifer Evans, a resident of Briar Manor for two years, said, “All they letter said was basically, you know, it could be a 72-hour time frame. Your hot water is going to be shut off. So I, you know, I understood. That’s fine. We don’t want a gas leak. And then five, six days later, I don’t hear anything from the complex. And then we have another letter on our door basically saying that they don’t know when it’s going to get fixed.”

Evans first thought the water was just taking longer than usual to warm up. “Every day I’ve been testing the water to see if it works. I’ve been running the hot water constantly to see if it hopefully turns on and nothing. So I’ve just kind of given up at this point.” Evans said…
