ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Hazy sunshine to start the new week with poor air quality as wildfire smoke from Canada continues to drift into our region. The AQI, air quality index, has reached 150 in Rochester Monday morning and that puts us in the unhealthy level. That means people that are sensitive to the pollution, including those with underlying illnesses, need to limit time outdoors due to the smoke. Outside of the hazy skies we are looking at sunny and dry weather with temps in the mid 80s.
Tuesday will bring more of the same with air quality issues from the smoke and more sunny and dry weather ahead. Wednesday will likely be another repeat with some wildfire smoke still a possible issue into the middle of the week. One thing to watch on Wednesday is a small chance for an afternoon shower…
