Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — Two former deputies from the Monroe County Jail who pleaded guilty to misconduct charges were sentenced Friday to three years of probation.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office announced in December it opened an investigation in December that led to the suspension and subsequent resignation of four deputies. Dominic Denaro and Dominic Kujawa were the only two to face criminal charges.
“Both incidents have spoken to a larger issue that the sheriff has been very proactive about dealing with in the jail,” Assistant District Attorney Perry Duckles said. “Which is one of the reasons why these sentences were agreed upon based upon their assistance with helping us do that.”…
