ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Volunteers helped the Salvation Army Tuesday fill more than 500 bags with school supplies for children in need. This effort was part of the Salvation Army’s “Stuff the Bus” campaign.
The supplies were purchased by shoppers at local Walmart’s, local businesses, and the Salvation Army’s community partners.
“It’s important because when parents have to pay bills and spend their money on other important things, this actually helps them further their money a little bit more when they don’t have to worry about buying school supplies when this time of year is an important time to get the kids ready,” said Maureen “Mo” Hill, the media and community relations for Salvation Army…
