Crews remove electric scooters, bikes dumped in Genesee River

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – In May, News10NBC reported that electric scooters and bikes that got tossed into the Genesee River. This weekend, crews removed the scooters and bikes, now covered in water, dirt, and debris.

The crane operator sent us video showing the cranes lifting the e-bikes and other debris from the river near Broad Street. Along with the bikes and scooters, crews also removed logs from the river.

We don’t know what will happen to those scooters now, but we reached out to VEO, the company that owns the scooters on Monday afternoon. We’ll update this story when we learn more…
