ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police are investigating after gunfire broke out on Roslyn Street in the city’s 19th Ward neighborhood on Wednesday night.
A News10NBC photojournalist saw officers surrounding a home on that street with long guns dawn and police shutting down the area. Officers say they arrived at Roslyn Street around 11:15 p.m. after getting ShotSpotter alerts and 911 calls reporting gunfire. RPD say no one was shot and no buildings were hit.
Later, officers found a man with minor injuries a block away on Melrose Street. RPD says he was not shot, but instead, his injuries were due to a fight. Police say the man didn’t want to cooperate with them and was taken to the hospital for treatment…
