Ulster County man killed in motorcycle crash

ULSTER COUNTY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — New York State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that took place in the town of Rochester in Ulster County. The crash occurred on Monday night on State Route 209.

Troopers responding to the vicinity around 6:11 p.m. determined that the operator of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle heading south on Route 209 left the roadway from the western shoulder, straying into a nearby wooded area. The rider, later identified as 58-year-old Timothy Avery of Kerhonkson, was declared dead at the scene by emergency personnel.

The investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call State Police by calling (845)344-5300 and refer to case number NY2500815795.
