Former Rochester City Council candidate charged with harassment

Rochester, N.Y. — Clifford Florence Jr., a former Rochester City Council candidate, is facing a criminal charge.

Florence Jr. is charged with second-degree harassment after city councilmember Michael Patterson filed a complaint claiming Florence Jr. threatened him as they were leaving Rochester City Hall June 12, according to complaint paperwork that was obtained by 13WHAM.

Patterson claims he was afraid for himself and his family, the complaint reads. A 90-day order of protection was issued by a judge, according to a spokesperson for the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office…
