NYSP, RPD respond to Hudson Avenue and Bernard Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Local police and state troopers responded to the area of Hudson Avenue and Bernard Street in Rochester, Sunday night.

News 8 crews on the scene reported seeing multiple NYSP trooper vehicles and yellow tape blocking off the area of Hudson Avenue at Friederich Park. Additionally, multiple Rochester Police Department vehicles blocked Bernard Street at Barons Street.

According to Rochester Police Captain Sam Lucyshyn, law enforcement set up the perimeter in response to reports of a person who was allegedly seen pointing a gun out of a residence’s window.

At this time, officers are meeting with persons of interest and witnesses to investigate the matter…
