ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Attorneys delivered opening statements on Tuesday in the trial of Taquida Hendrix, accused of working with her sister to intentionally set a fire that killed a 5-year-old boy in Rochester.
Police say the boy wasn’t the target. Her sister, Tikayla Hendrix, and another man named Roy Chambers both pleaded guilty to second-degree arson in late August.
