Suspect caught for assault and weapon crime on Columbia Ave

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man has been charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon for his alleged involvement in a shooting on Columbia Avenue from August.

Rochester Police said they found the victim, a man in his 30s, at Strong Hospital who was shot in the torso. The injuries were considered non-life threatening. Officers later learned the shooting happened in the 300 block of Columbia Avenue.
