Brockport prior felon accused of having illegal firearms and ammunition

BROCKPORT, N.Y. — A 39-year-old prior felon is facing more charges after being accused of having firearms and ammunition he is prohibited from having.

Prosecutors say in November of 2018, Paul Kozlyuk was sentenced to 27 months in prison after being convicted of defrauding multiple small businesses. This conviction prevented him from being able to have firearms.

In February 2024, authorities began investigating Kozlyuk and his business “Ameritrans Group Inc,” for violations of federal tax laws, transportation of stolen goods across the state, and fraud involving the Department of Transportation…
