Rochester welcomes ‘Eunie’s Buddies’, a new program for families of children with special needs

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A new nonprofit program called Eunie’s Buddies is launching in Rochester. It is part of Best Buddies International, a global nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Organizers emphasized the importance of community connection through Eunie’s Buddies. “Really just for everyone to meet each other, I think that’s the biggest thing in the community is we wanna make sure that people know each other, know that we exist,” said an organizer.

The program also introduces Uni Buddies, which offers family support when receiving a diagnosis. “When you’re getting that first diagnosis or when you have a diagnosis for your kiddo, you know that there’s a community around to support you and it’s so important,” said the organizer…
