Paralyzed Rochester musician continues to take major steps in recovery

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Imagine being paralyzed and told by doctors you’d likely never walk again. That’s the news a Rochester area musician received after a terrible crash two summers ago. Katy Eberts is proving to doctors and to herself that miracles can happen.

For two years, Eberts has been doing things she wasn’t sure she’d ever be able to accomplish. She was paralyzed when the van she was in, along with members of The Seven Wonders, her band at the time, crashed on the New York State Thruway.

Until recently, Eberts hadn’t driven a car for two years…
