8 arrested, 1 from Rochester, after being accused of ‘elder fraud’

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Eight people from various parts of the country, including one person from Rochester, have been arrested after being accused of elder fraud.

U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced the arrests during a press conference alongside leaders from various federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.

DiGiacomo says the suspects were from Georgia, Ohio, Florida, New Jersey, and Western New York. He says these suspects are accused of commiting over $11 million in actual and attempted fraud…
