‘Lifelong criminal’ faces new charges in Monroe County, deputy says

Rochester, N.Y. — A repeat offender with dozens of prior arrests is facing new charges.

Richard Robson, a 39-year-old “lifelong criminal” from Rochester, stole a work pickup truck from a car dealership on Marsh Road in Perinton Aug. 15, according to Deputy David Marcucci of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Robson also broke into several vehicles in a parking lot on West Henrietta Road Aug. 25 and stole property, including a credit card that was used at a store on Mount Hope Avenue.

Robson was arrested Sept. 8 and charged with:

  • third- and fourth-degree grand larceny
  • fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property
  • second-degree identity theft
  • three counts of petit larceny

He was arraigned and remains in custody at the Monroe County Jail with no bail set…
