Man believes 14-year-old wants to ‘meet’, arrested in Palmyra

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A level two sex offender from Lyons is facing several charges after deputies say he tried to meet a 14-year-old girl decoy for sex, sent sexually explicit messages, and damaged a police station while in custody.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, 32-year-old Christopher M. Ford was arrested by Palmyra Police after an investigation into explicit messages he allegedly sent to someone he believed was a 14-year-old girl. Investigators say Ford agreed to meet the decoy at Aqueduct Park in Palmyra to have sex.

The investigation was set up by a local vigilante group called Decoys Making A Difference. The group live-streamed Ford’s arrest and the events leading up to it on Facebook, and noted that no real minors were involved…
