Rochester, N.Y. — A man is facing several charges after an incident Monday morning on the city’s north side.
Officers responded around 9 a.m. to a home on Delamaine Drive for the report of an altercation involving a machete and a gun. Police said a man in his 20s arrived at Rochester General Hospital a short time later with non-life-threatening lacerations to his upper body.
Investigators determined the victim went to the suspect’s home to retrieve a cell phone that had been the subject of a prior dispute. At some point, the suspect, identified as Marquan Young, 20, cut the victim with a machete and chased him out of the home with a firearm, police said…
