ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Honor Flight Rochester Mission 91 will return to Rochester Sunday afternoon after spending a weekend in Washington D.C. Mission 91 flew 61 veterans to visit the memorials of the wars they served in.
The welcome-home ceremony will take place at the Rochester International Airport. WHEC-TV Meteorologist Stacey Pensgen will be the ceremony’s emcee. Honor Flight Rochester’s president and CEO Kim Gould will be the keynote speaker.
Since 2008, HFR has flown more than 4,500 veterans to D.C. The flights were funded through the generosity of the Rochester community including organizations, corporations, people, volunteers, and testamentary bequests…
