A Newark man is facing murder charges after police say he led investigators to a body hidden in rural Wayne County.
Officers arrested 35-year-old Jared C. Nesmith following a joint investigation by the Newark Police Department and New York State Police.
On September 30, police got a tip from a caller who overheard someone talking about a killing — and said the body had been dumped in the Sodus area. Officers began searching and soon found Nesmith walking in the village. He tried to run but was caught quickly and taken in for questioning…
