Brockport Police Officers responded to the 200 block of State Street, a commercial zoned area in the village, on September 27 at approximately 3:15 p.m. for the report of a dead body found in an overgrown thicket. The body appeared to be of an adult male that had been at the location for several days if not longer.
The Brockport Police Department, in collaboration with the East Rochester Police Department, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, and Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office, has since been able to positively identify the deceased individual as 73-year-old Thomas Soward of East Rochester…
