ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two men from Rochester have been arrested and charged following a forged check investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
According to MCSO, 28-year-old Giovanni Newport-Beasley and 30-year-old Tyshon D. McCullough were arrested during an ongoing investigation by the Economic Crimes Unit into stolen and forged checks that had been cashed at a local bank, reportedly totaling $2,740.
Search warrants were executed by deputies on Union Square in Chili and Sherman Street in Rochester, during which investigators seized an illegal Springfield 9mm handgun with an extended 16-round magazine, “new in the box” items said to be likely stolen from local retail outlets, as well as evidence and items reportedly used to “make” and “wash” checks…
