Greece, N.Y. (WHAM) — You might have noticed the Greece Police Department headquarters on Vince Tofany Boulevard off Long Pond Road got a face lift and expansion in recent months: a 4,400-square-foot addition to the original structure that was built in 2017. After major construction, Chief Michael Wood wants the public to know it’s back open.
“It’s just been a transformation, not only in the structure of this building, but quite frankly, a transformation in this department operationally for the last four years,” Wood said.
Nearly four years ago, then-Chief Andrew Forsythe resigned amidst a very public scandal. He crashed his department-issued SUV into a guardrail on Interstate 390 Oct. 20, 2021, according to police.
