ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Various places in Rochester will be closed Monday in observance of Indigenous Peoples Day.
Back in 2022, Rochester City Council voted unanimously to adopt an ordinance establishing Indigenous Peoples Day. Rochester was the first major city in New York State to replace Columbus Day.
