Person treated for burns after camper catches fire on city’s southwest side

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A person is recovering from burns on several parts of their body after a camper caught fire on Sherer Street off Maple Street on the city’s southwest side.

The Rochester Fire Department says the camper caught fire on Tuesday just before midnight near a vacant warehouse. An ambulance took the person away to treat second and third-degree burns…
