A Rochester man wanted on multiple warrants was arrested last week following a months-long investigation into drug sales in Canandaigua.
On October 15, U.S. Marshals took 26-year-old Jonathan J.J. Matthews Jr. into custody. He faces multiple charges, including two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, reckless endangerment, unlawful fleeing, reckless driving, and several traffic violations.
Police allege that Matthews sold narcotics to another person on several occasions within the city. When officers attempted to arrest him back on March 17, he fled the scene, struck an unmarked police vehicle, and drove onto a sidewalk in an attempt to escape.
