ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A beloved taco restaurant, Taco Dero, known for its Los Angeles-style street tacos, announced its closing shop at its Brooks Avenue restaurant after facing rising food costs.
Instead of continuing to raise prices, they decided to close their doors and refocus on other parts of the business.
“We all see it, I remember everybody on social media was talking about the prices of eggs. That applied to restaurants as well. Beef is one of our biggest items that we sell, and the cost of that has at least doubled. For our carne asada, we use flank steak, and the price of that is almost $11-12 a pound.” Said Chef and Co-owner, Cordero Rivera…
